27. Ramadan. 1441 – Small Achievements

Thanks for tuning in for the 27th day!

I wanted to take the time to piggy back off my post from 2 days ago about knowing that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Take a moment to look back at the small things you’ve done or those little achievements that you’ve managed to make yet failed to celebrate. My question to you is why? Why didn’t you take the time to celebrate that little feat as if it didn’t matter because I can promise you that it did. You should take the time to praise or celebrate when you’ve achieved those “minor” feats because guess what, YOU DID IT! Those little accomplishments begin to add up little by little, day by day until next thing you realize that you’ve actually made drastic time – that’s why little details matter.

Getting your life together, as an adult, is kinda like learning how to walk when you were once a child. No one just gets up and can automatically take part in a 400 meter run – most of us can’t even do that normally. The same way you once had to learn how to hold up your own neck, then roll over on your own, then sit up by yourself, then crawling around, then stand up without assistance, then you slowly start moving around and walking holding onto things around you until you finally are able to take those few baby steps on your own without anything or anyone. Granted, you’ll probably fall down quite a bit but you’ll still get back up, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s all that matters. You got back up and continued to take those little baby steps until you looked back and saw just how far you’ve come.

So like I said, please, take the time to celebrate those little wins in your life that are keeping you on track to completing your big life goals. Those small achievements should help you to build good habits and next thing you know you’ll be well on your way to whatever you may have you heart or mind set upon.

Seek better. Do better. Be better.

Live life with purpose.

As always,

Keep living, loving, and laughing.
