16. Ramadan. 1442- Time

Ramadan Mubarak, loves! crazy! we’re slowdly winding down on this beautiful month of mercy, forgiveness, and protection. Almost done with the second Ashra (decade-word for signifying 10 day periods.)

Let’s discuss a little thing called “time.”

I was once asked “what’s the most valuable thing in this world?” I was in middle school, in Friday detention at the time so of course all the answers were top tier superficial – almost everyone named a “precious metal.” After letting out a couple laughs, the proctor informed us that the valuable thing in this life is time because it’s the one thing you can never get back. That concept has stuck with me just about everyday since that moment. You would think that I would’ve heeded that warning and spent my time more useful and productive, but, in fact, not until the glorious year of 2021 that I learned to implement that value in my life. So as a reminder to you, please pay attention, slow down, and smell the flowers – I promise you won’t regret it. Things may be far from perfect, but you haven’t given up yet so keep going. use your time wisely because you never know how much of it that you have.

Keep living, loving, and laughing.
